Gitgit: A multi-tiered waterfall in North Bali

Gitgit is the best known waterfall in Bali and also the most visited. The reasons for this are it lies on a busy road and it is fairly big. Located 11km south of Singaraja, is a sign points to a path, that leads 800m to the waterfall. Most people will just go to this waterfall after paying a small fee (about 4,000rp). The waterfall is about 40m tall and runs the best between November and March. Food and drinks are available.

For people who don’t mind a bit of exercise, there is a more impressive waterfall 2kms further along the path. To access this one a donation is required. This second waterfall is multi-tiered and you will pass other waterfall along the way, walking along the jungle path. There are some stall and the route is safe. If you are staying in Lovina and are driving back to Kuta via Bedugal, you might like to stop at Gitgit waterfall.
