Rushing to get ‘huge’ in Legian Bali

Here’s how my schedule worked today. Like a man on methamphetamines, I had a lot of stuff going through my mind and not enough time to do them all. What’s new? Finishing at the spa we rode home as safety as possible while still making good time. I wanted to work out, but my membership finishes at 3pm. Dropping Ika and Jevon off I saw a Euro tourist with his new SUV stuck to the 90 degree corner of my alley.

Its a horrible situation to be in, because anyway you move, you will scratch the car. Bali has many of these small alleys and if you know what you’re doing you can get around them. I see dump trucks going around that corner, the drivers knowing you have to take it as wide as possible (when you are going forwards). The poor guy today was standing outside the car scratching his head. I managed to close his passenger door and squeeze by.

After zipping down Jl. Legian and Double Six, jumped off the bike, ran into the gym, still wearing my gear. Without removing my bike gloves I got straight into the weights, knowing I had 15 minutes to find some joy. If you go for it hard for 15 minutes you can actually get stuff done. Respecting the rules of my membership, I finished at 2.59pm and walked out there, happy to have made it.

While in the gym I bumped into a guy from Germany who runs a gay oriented dive site here. He is involved with a Bali float that will appear in the Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras in Sydney. I will interview him sometime when we are both not charging off somewhere.
