Checking villas in Seminyak

Gang Plawa is the small alley that is across from Jl. Dhyana Pura. It connects Jl. Seminyak with the Sunset Rd. Along there area some okay villas. We checked a place out and the staff showed us around. They would not give us the price, so we called up the owner. He wanted $1,500 per month! The place was nice, quiet, with a pool etc. but that was a bit steep. Of course a year long lease will be cheaper.

The guys and I then went to visit the owner in Banjar Semer (Umalas). Umalas is villa central and after looking through some of his brochures, I took the guys down one of the small gangs in Umalas. At that point they got the picture, there are a ton of places out there, you just have ride around and find them.
If you go through a company they will take a cut. That also goes for being shown villas by another foreigner or a local, expact a commission to be added. There are nice places out there for sure and sometimes the cutest little places are down th crappiest gangs (alleys). I went to a house with some German student at a gang off of Jl. Legian, just below Jl. Double Six. The place was cute, quiet and had a pool. I’d never imagine that from the street.
I asked Cody and Jeff how much longer they plan to stay in Bali and they said they have no plans to leave yet, but I know Cody is a guy with itchy feet.
