Riding around Bali in a day

Some people like to fly around the world in a short space of time. I have wondered what it would be like to ride around Bali in a day. Using a scooter, and sticking exclusively to the coastal road I’d be looking at 14 hours.

Along that route, easy photographs to take would be: Dawn in Sanur, Goa Lawah, Candi Dasa lagoon, Tirtaganga water palace, rice paddies just past Tirtaganga, Poinciana Resort near Tejakula, a selection of temples in north Bali, including Pura Meduwe Karang. I’d also see downtown Singaraja, the Lovina strip, before riding along the NW coast to the diving spot of Pemuteran, circling around through part of the Bali Barat National Park and swinging through Negara. The final stretch would take me along the quiet SW coast, through, Medewi, Balian, Soka, Tabanan and back to Seminyak.

The hilliest section of the whole trip would be going through Tirtaganga to the coast, which would also be one of the prettiest parts.

Right now I don’t think my backside could handle 14 hours motorbike riding, so that trip will have to wait.
