Traveling in Bali while pregnant

Traveling while you are pregnant is going to be harder than when you’re not, that’s a given. The more remote your location the less facilities will be available and the further you will be from medical attention.

Still people do travel while pregnant and as long as you take it easier than normal and stay hydrated, you can do it. I recently met an Australian couple who live in Bali who are having a baby. They plan to go back home for the birth before returning. I told them about my experience with Puri Bunda in Denpasar, saying that it as fine and that I can recommend having a birth in Bali. Come to think of it, for a pregnant women, the idea of renting a nice villa, with a pool and maid, relaxing in warm weather and going for a leisurely stroll everyday seems a nice way to spend the last month of pregnancy.
