Photo of the Day: Shapes and Deception

As a traveller I am constantly on the lookout for the unusual to photograph. This could be in the shape of buildings, objects or in some cases, animals and humans. I particularly like the fusion of different shapes that tend to feed-off each other and produce unique compositions.

Recently, whilst in Yogakarta, I was sitting in the Malioboro Mall on a busy Saturday afternoon and happened to notice the mirror reflections on the side of the escalators. The reflection was the exterior of the building projected to the interior. Being on the second level, I was able to photograph two levels of the Mall and at the same time the exterior of the building with the assistance of the mirrors.
