Bali weather August 7th 2007

lovinaBali is a tropical island situated just 8 degrees south of the equator and 115 degrees east of the Greenwich meridian, so my GPS unit likes to tell me. So close to the equator our seasonal light doesn’t have the big changes that Europe does. Here in Bali you’re looking at sunrise being around 6am-6.30am. This helps navigation as the old saying ‘the sun rises in the east and sets in the west’ is literally true, not sloped at some extreme angle. (Photo is of Lovina beach but it could be Seminyak today).

Today in Seminyak the skies were slightly overcast although we had not a drop of rain. The ultra violet levels were still high though, so if you are coming to Bali remember to wear your sunglasses, hat and pack on the sunblock whatever the weather.

Here is look at the 10 day weather forecast for Bali.
