I was away in east Bali and missed seeing any action down at the beach. Here are a few pics to give you a taste.

DAILY TIDES
15th March
… LOW TIDE …
10:00am
… HIGH TIDE …
5:00pm

Cloudy weather outside the Hard Rock Hotel in Kuta, Serangan and Nusa Dua looking like they’ve got some swell.

Sunrise 6.24am, sunset 6.34pm. Forecast is clouds clearing.

If anyone is looking for a deal on a board in Kuta see Sam at Internet Outpost, his mate had to leave 2 behind today and had a hour to sell both. They’re still here.

Hi everyone -

I have a one-day stopover in Bali on March 19 (Friday) en route to East Timor. I’d love to surf in the afternoon someplace. Nothing too difficult, preferably; I’ll be getting off a 20+ hour flight, but I could use a nice, easy break to help me recover. Any suggestions? Board rental nearby would be key. Terimah kasih!

Greetings from the States.

I’m going to come and live in Bali during August and September 2004 and was wondering if I could get your opinion on the best method of transportation while I’m there. I’ll have 3 to 6 boards with me at a time and was thinking of renting a Van or Landcruiser. I’ll be exploring up and down the coast and might go to Lombok as well. How easily are these to rent and how much should I expect to pay? Perhaps I’d be better off buying one during my stay and then selling it when my 2 months come to an end? :-\ A motorcycle probably isn’t the way to go for me b/c of all my gear that I’ll have with me.

I like your site and am glad to have found it. Thanks ahead of time for taking the time to read and respond to my questions - Don (Atlanta, GA)
