Surf Report 10/14/2003
MATE i have never seen the Ocean this flat for a very long time ………….its a sign the seasons are are changing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Well the early this morning had the crew at my place hopping on their bikes and off to Nusa Dua for the dawn patrol……………..with reports of fun waves up to 3 feet on the sets and the wind staying pretty low key untill about 9am.
Sewangan or Turtle Island was relatively flat for the early with the local boys pulling out the snorkel and goggles and catching the odd fish for breaky!!!!!!!!!.
On the beach breaks it was a non event………….i dont think i have seen it that small for months.
Balian was probably the pick spot to be today……………….it had some very nice shape and with the sets reaching around a solid 4 feet …………… and was definetly producing the best surf on the Island of the Gods.

Peter checking in here with a bit of a giggle at Pauls comments about the Bowling!
It was a great site having the big fella go down horribly but then to his credit & the second slow ball of each delivery he regained some respect!
Paul we may have to speak to Nick from Bali Blog about including a bowling wrap up each week.Maybe we could expand on it & ask people arriving to Bali to come & join in on a Sunday night then we can create a way for first timers or return visitors to meet up & have a bit of fun that is a little different to the normal Bali activities..
By the way Paul I guess there was no mention of my scores due to the whipping I gave you & Marcus , come on boys lift the standard!!
Okay thanks Peter i did forget to mention the flogging marcus and i received the other night you really did show the boys UP……….but i do think you and Tiwi have been getting a lil sneaky practise in that we all did not know about!!!!!!!!!!!!!
