Picture Perfect setting out on the Bukit as the waves roll in and gently disperse on the coral reefs the colours of the ocean at Dream Land had to be seen to be beleived.
Uluwatu today was firing with some great sets reaching the 4 to 5 feet mark the local boys were on every single wave that came through getting the cream and showing the tourists how its done.
Impossibles was looking exceptional as i checked it from the cliffs i watched a lucky surfer pull in to a beautiful barrel and ride for what seemed like an eternity.
Bingin was a little bit smaller and a bit inconsistent but still offered a few nice waves in the 2 to 3 feet range.
Dream Land is were i spent my afternoon testing out a new 6-2 round tail that i had just shaped and i must say i was very happy with its performance the afternoon was good fun the waves about 4 feet with great shape peaks rifling off left and right and some pretty long rides.
I shared a little shore break with a young local kid called Mega this kid just rips and has a bright future in surfing.
Next up is Balangan which had some beauty sets in 4-5ft range though long
periods of waiting in between. We had a nice crowd of international surfers
with only few occasionall misunderstandings.
The beach breaks in the Kuta area were okay on the high tide but as the tide dropped the close outs caused a few narsty wipe outs and broken boards.
