Interview with surfboard manufacturer Palu Waskiw

Australian expat Palu Waskiw has been coming to Bali for over 20 years. Anyone who spent time on Kuta Beach will have seen one of his signature learner boards, which are bright yellow. Palu started with a single shop located on Poppies Lane II, close to Gang Mangga in Kuta. H now has a shop close to the junction on Jl. Benesari where G-Land used to be located, and another on Jl. Uluwatu at Dreamland.

Reacting to the economic decline, Palu is expanding with more shops on the way. I talked to him about where his business in going. This is what he had to say.

I bought from Palu a beautiful board, some 8,2 inches, which I have to leave in Europe due to the high fly costs.
I would like to rent a board from Palu, but i do not have his email…can you please provide me
