Bali Waves: A local site worth checking out
Bali Waves is a website that features regular content on surfing written by expats who live here. Not being a surfer myself, I often use this site to check out what has been happening down on the Bukit.
Bali Waves has cool photos and video clips of inspiring surf action taken at places like Uluwatu and Padang Padang.
One of the things that makes this site ’speak’ to me is the language. The guy obviously knows what he’s talking about and is familiar with his audience, something that is important for a website.
At this time of the year people prefer to surf Serangan, Nusa Dua amd Keramas, rather than the western Bukit, due to the winds and the debris in the water.

nick, i read your site all the time, but man, someone has to set you straight. the best site to look at to check out the waves in bali is not baliwaves, better u look up http://www.wannasurf.com. anyone who surfs knows this! at wannasurf you go into the weather section and then click onto the indian ocean site, then u have heaps of options, the best is the swell and wind report for up to 1 week
this report comes from the US navy ,and is used by people in the know.
it doesnt cost u anything , unlike baliwaves, which is just a site trying to get money out of you for surfinfo.
im all for people trying to make a buck, but when it comes to people writing crap storys about surf in bali so that they can make money from you, well, they are not real surfers, they are just commercial pigs using surfing and exploiting those that want to be a surfer!
