Trail bike in Bali

trail bike baliHere’s a snap of the bike I intend to buy. Its a Suzuki TS 125, with a new engine. The owner told me she spends the extra money on maintenance and it runs unusually clean. After toying with the idea for the last 2 years of getting a new scooter for 11m rp, a new Tiger for 21m rp, or just continuing to rent for 400,000rp per month, I took the plunge as this seemed an okay deal at 9.5m rp. Its always a trade off with equipment and my motorike is something I use everyday. The scooter is easy to ride, good on fuel and has storage. Its not good dealing with potholes or offroad. I think I’m going to enjoy getting this new machine out into the boonies and see where I can take it.

Maybe another trip to Lombok is on the cards sometime in the future. In order for me to own this bike, myself and the owner have to go to the police station and fill out forms. There are no emissions tests over here so its just a formality.

Nick,

It kills me that I can no longer click and get the larger pics. Is this permanent? I know they take alot of server space, but seeing the full size photos was nice.

Hey Nick,
I suggest if ya want to buy a TS, get a new one.. After a few years of abuse around bali they wear out real fast.. Everything from clutch and brake levers flopping around butterfly wings to worn out cylinder linings..
If ya do buy second hand, get someone to check the clutch to see if its slipping.
CYA in may
Cheers Mick
