Trail bike in Bali

Back to renting a scooter for while. This afternoon my friend Palu and I went along to meet the owner of the trail bike I was intending to buy. Having the money ready I was interested in his opinion.

After few minutes of riding it and looking it over, he told me not to buy it, for a few reasons, including that the bike had been lowered, which would required me getting it raised. Also some the parts were missing including the speedo and gas gauge. He told me I’d have trouble with the cops if they saw that. For sure I don’t know much about bikes, or what they’re worth.

Anyway that’s the way it goes so I’m back on my 100cc scooter for now.

Palu’s idea for the “Stiff Banana” popped up one night while he and a drunk mate were sharing a trail bike thru the moonlit streets of Ubud.
