Super rainy in Seminyak Bali

Today was a heck of a day for weather in Bali. A storm came in and dumped a ton of rain on us at high speed. Very windy conditions also, as the angled rain outside my window indicated.

Skies have been slate grey all day with no sign of clearing. The beach in Legian / Seminyak today was totally deserted. No vendors, tourists, expats of locals around, just debris, high winds and rain. Jl. Double Six was partially flooded in places, but apart from that Seminyak was still operating okay. My felt hat came in handy and an umbrella would not have been too useful on the coast.

Personally I enjoyed today as temperatures were cool, the garden got watered and Bali got another chance to stock up on water before the end of the wet season.

Nick,

Pity you did not have a photo of the rain. I remember, a few years ago, you showed a photo of heavy rain with people on motor bikes going down the street with water up to the axles.

Keep up the good work. I really love this site as it helps me get by between my Bali trips.
My annual trips to Bali are to far appart.

Regards,
Peter
