Sunday afternoon airport pick up in Bali

Just got an email from my friend Devin Skolnick (son of Barbara). He is arriving tonight at the airport and wants to join his momma, up in the cultural heart of Bali’s shopping, Ubud. I thought I had spaced it and missed his flight, but he got straight back to me on email and said it was today.

Haven’t decided whether to rent a car or use my bike, he’s small, so I can do either. I can jet down the Ngurah Rai, pick him up, get to Ubud, then after a nibble and a sip, take it easy riding home. Devin lost his dada a year ago and has been traveling in Vietnam and Thailand for the last month or so. I think Devin is actually part Balinese, he so creative.

Photos and stories later.

Hi Nick…..Yesterday I ran into Devin on a flight from Singapore to Bali. He is a very personable and friendly guy. I was telling him that I read Bali Blog and he said that he knew you. Even though we have never met, I feel that I know you well. In fact I was telling Devin that I knew all about his Mom and Godmother being in Bali. Small world.
I am staying in Sanur at the Villa Puri Ayu Hotel until March 4. I hope to meet up with you and Devin for a drink some day.
Cheers, Bill
