The internet connectivity here in Seminyak really sucks. I might as well be sitting her peeling potatoes, waiting for my mail to open. Its 10.15pm on a tuesday night, I’m at the place across from Santa Fe on Jl. Dhyana Pura, big screens, nice machines, but the place is about 100f in temperature and the speed is like a dying man’s last hour.
We got 50% packet loss right now, so the whole shabang is stalling. That’s par for the course out here. Back towards Jl. Semiyak, Galaxy has sexy dancers at 11pm, and Ray from Melbourne, is staying there with his wife Wayan. Ray ordered me to join him sometime for a beer, so I have no choice.

Is Ray back for another extended stay?
Hi Nick,
Have you ever watched BaliTV (http://www.balitv.tv/)? Well, I guess the answer is yes
. Maybe some of the programs worth watching — especially the ones with english narration — … and worth distributing.
Actually they (used to) have their onlinetv as real, using RealMedia (because there’s a clickable link on their website to the streaming TV)… But it has always been down…. at least since 1 year ago.
I asked them if they’re going to make the service alive again. They said, not now, since their website is under construction (?). I guess the problem is availability of bandwith (and some other things)…, I don’t know for sure (anyway, RadioGlobal, in Singaraja has its online radio, and it’s alive…. so…).
Well, if you have any contact in Bali who can / is willing to jump into this stuff, that would be great (*my selfish interest*: I want to watch BaliTV
.
And… btw, do you have any plan to do videoblogging (using youtube.com)? If you have big enough bandwith, maybe you can also upload some recordings of baliTV programs to it (you can use softwares like MythTV: http://www.mythtv.org/).
Best regards and TIA,
Raka
