Sanur the place for real estate in Bali

Sanur is the coastal strip to the NE of Kuta, that first came onto the tourist radar when foreign expats such as Australian artist Donald Friend lived there. Sanur offers a quieter beach location than Kuta, with family style restaurants and little nightlife. Its these qualities that make Sanur attractive to expats with families.

Most people staying in Sanur will be familiar with the long main street, Jl. Danau Tamblingan and 1 or 2 of the beach areas. Sanur does also have some lovely tranquil untouched land. A while ago I mentioned to a friend that it would be great to build a house there, to which he commented “forget it, that area is Beverly Hills.” An article in PropertyReport.com tells how Sanur has the most desirable real estate in Bali. As with anywhere in Bali, the beach side of the main road is the place to be and I reckon the price quoted in the article of $10,000-$20,000 per are (100 sq meters) is low, considering places in Seminyak and also Monkey forest Rd in Ubud can be 300m rp and up.

Will be interesting to see how the next few years affect Sanur.

i think sanur is just for retired old people not for youner ones..the price for land over there for beachfront is about the same with jimbaran..ex land next to the south of Bali Hyatt sold for 200 million/100sqm…

Beachfront land is already rare only left big ones only. 2 hectares up to 4 hectares

I agree that younger people would rather invest in seminyak or the bukit..
