Renting a car for a 3 day road trip in East Bali

On the morning of the 27th, the weather was slightly overcast. Having a busy house with the pembantu, mother in-law stopping in, wife, kid, & friends, I felt rushed, but immediately found a car rental place (Bali Puspa) on Jl. Dhyana Pura open. Actually the guys know me, and told me they have 7 cars, all unrented. Last year after December 15th, they were all rented.

I got a nice 4 door Taruna or whatever its called for 160,000rp per day. More power than the older Kijang and an AC system that would freeze the smile off a sexy dancer. Renting the thing took 5 minutes, no ID, no deposit, just pay some cash and out of there. As always, the tank had about a pint of gas, so a pitstop at the station on Jl. Raya Kerobokan set me up for the day.

The nicer car was worth the extra money for the comfort, although I’ll probably be tempted by a cheapy next time.

Hi!!
I am looking to hire a car for 15 days, while I am in Bali with family. The cost of the Taruna car you hired, sound cheap to me. Could you pls forward me the phone number of Bali Puspa car rental? Would be greatly appreciated, tks!

160,000rp per day? It is less than AU$25 per day. DriveAway Holidays, as the “Best Car Rental Company 2006″ in Australia, would like to source this car rental company as our supplier. Could you please share more information on this car rental company? Thanks.
