Pleasant weather in Bali Indonesia

Monday, April 2nd here in Seminyak Bali sees bright, slightly overcast skies, which will give way to sunshine later in the day. Sunday evening, skies clouded over and we got a pleasant shower for about an hour at 8pm.

In Canggu Sunday afternoon farmer were busy in the sawah (rice fields), attending to the various stages of rice production (ploughing, planting, tending, harvesting etc.). Women and men work in the sawah, well covered to protect them from the relentless sun. One farmer was burning off bundles of the threshed stalk, creating a ton of smoke. Scary how much smoke comes out of such a small amount of straw!

Over the next 10 days the Kuta / Denpasar area will enjoy showers in the first couple of days, followed by mostly sunny conditions. Here’s the 10-day weather forecast for Bali.

Nick,
in the wake of tsunami in Solomon Island earlier today, does Bali have a tsunami warning system in place on their beaches? perhaps a nice re-assuring info for those whose a regular visitor to the Island.
