Origin of Kuta Cowboys revealed

Kuta Cowboys, those weird little guys who hang on the beach day, in search of the largest females Qantas can carry, have long been a mystery. From where do they originate, what inspires them to do what they do, and are they related to the rest of humanity? Modern science now has the answer to these pressing questions.

According to the BBC website, a skeleton found on an Indonesian island in 2004, of a ‘Hobbit-like’ human, with considerable intelligence (they know that a cold Bintang on the beach, is worth a considerable mark up), could be another branch of our human family tree. Well, blow me down! Next time I see one of these little guys, I’ll buy him one of his beers, now that we’re related.

Presumably they hunt down large women to address the shortness in their gene-pool. Happy hunting guys.

Great post Nick, I love your sense of humor. Don’t take any notice of the other tossers, who criticize, they ought to get a life.

just musing a bit here.

how many indonesian guys do you see with western women at night, at Kuta? approx. 100? 200? etc. how prevalent is this? is it as prevalent as the amount of white guys with thai girls, in Thailand?

is it true that in Bali, during Dec/Jan (school holiday) many young aussie women are with an indonesian guy? thanks

Steve, I’d say it wouldnt be the same amount as in Thailand men with young women…
You may see about 20-30 or so of mixed couples out & about if you went to a number of clubs/restaurants etc but this would also include various other Asian men/women with locals as well as Westerners…

During 2 visits to Bali as a teenager I loved all the Kuta boys, what an introduction to holiday romances LOL :) Wonderful sweet memories I’ll never forget.

I remember getting the shock of my life seeing one of my special Kuta friends in a Perth nightclub a couple of years later, having married & divorced in that time (him).
