Nightlife in Candi Dasa

Candi Dasa has limited nightlife. There is one bar, I can’t remember the name of it, but its easy to find. It has live reggae music and is located at the far north end of the long strip of places.

While trying in vain to post something last night, at a local internet cafe, I saw that the shop also sold batik. The attached restaurant was rather full and female Balinese dancers were finishing their routine. They told me they were dancing a Legong and a Joged dance.

Malibu Cafe has live music starting around 9pm. Maybe part of the attraction of Candi Dasa is that it is quiet at night. There certainly isn’t a rocking scene, or large groups of people getting dressed up to go out.

Back in Seminyak now, I have some decent photos of the vwhole time in Candi Dasa. They are uploaded, and as soon as I figure out how to view them, I will link to them.

Hi Nick

I think the name of the bar is Komoto’s, or something like that.

If it’s the place almost on the corner, before you turn right off the main road to go on the narrow road towards the headland, then it’s Legends Cafe. Or at least that’s what it was called last October and for some time before that. I’ve had a few pleasant evenings in there.

Candi has 3 music places. Legends (at the end of the strip where the road winds up to Amlapura) Iguana and Malibu. Some nights you might cop some localss strumming guitars in Queens (front of the Lagoon) Unfortunately the legendary BEER GARDEN DISCO IS NO MORE
