Latest news of former Bali expat Mick Turnbull (he’s the handsome one in the Mr. Bean shorts), is that he is a dad. As many long time Baliblog readers will remember, Mick was an engineer for Cathay Pacific living in Umalas. His lifestyle seemed perfect, with a good job, all expenses paid, plenty of free time and friends. When Mick left Bali, people flew in from Jakarta, Surabaya and other parts of Indonesia just to send him off.
One thing about Mick is that with all the luxuries of modern living, he never forgot his friends, or his mum’s sauce. She used to make her own ketchup and send it to him. A road trip with Mick often started out by seeing off last night’s hangover with eggs, bacon and a splash of mum’s sauce. Mick married Opi from Indonesia and they now live in Victoria, Australia. They became parents last night to Melina Johanna Turnbull. Congratulations to both of them.

Nick, I have a question for you mate…
We are heading out there on Sept 15th (so far looks like were renting a Villa in Jln Drupadi) for 3wks.
I am searching & hoping to get a local phoptographer to come to the villa or down the beach at sunset to get some natural pic’s of our 3 kids enjoying life… Do you know of any decent but not massively mahal photographers???
