Mercedes Corby: My Story

Mercedes Corby, sister of convicted drug trafficker Schapelle Corby, sheds light on her life, particularly the last couple of years surrounding the arrest and conviction of her sister. Aussies are pretty gullible, and when this case first surfaced there was overwhelming support for Schapelle.

Times have changed and the tide of public opinion has swung the other way, with family members left and right being named in drug related offenses. Whatever your standpoint, Mercedes’s account is an interesting profile of a someone dealing with an awkward situation.

Judging by the account, it may be possible to visit Schapelle these days. My tip for food for Schapelle is a packet of nasi campur from Warung Kolega on Jl. Petitenget, its enak!!!

Are Aussies anymore gullible than English expats who “accidentally” get a local pregnant?

none of the oz people i know expat or at home really thought she was innocent. I think the gullible aussies were a very small vocal minority, pumped up by the media who were onto a good storyline.

I\’m sorry but I believe everything I hear about the Corby\’s, they are not an innocent family and I am sick of people feeling sorry for them. They are liers and scabs and just out for pity money etc. Don\’t take Shapelle food, her family can do that. Why don\’t you give food the the Bali Bombers as well?

Just read the sickly Mercedes story

Added a few embelishments to make it more honest

“We could spend hours sitting in the grass >>>>making” plans to become future drug smugglers

“In 2004, we decided to take a five-month holiday to Bali”

>>>>>Before leaving we organized the entire plan with our shady friends

“We’d been in Bali for about eight weeks”
>>>and decided it was time to bring in the hometown hoochie

>>>Ohhh the lifestyle we could have with the profits….

“I was a social recluse for the first 18 months. I couldn’t go out and enjoy myself,”
>>>>Especially with that terrible picture exposing me as the horse face I really am

“I try to vary her meals, taking anything from noodles to fish and chips.”

>>>>Its a bit like keeping a pet without having to clean up the poops after feeding

“Wayan and I decided to try for our third child.”

>>>>He found it easier after two bottles of Arak and a brown paper bag with a simple cartoon face scribbled on

“One thing that angers me is when reporters who’ve never met me or my family call us uneducated or unskilled, even ‘trash’”

>>>>>This is Sooooo untrue we’re just vermin

“There are Corbys who have university degrees.”

>>>>Only their name is spelt slightly differently Corbies
Still it sounds the same

None of you people know Mercedes but you are so quick to judge.
Why do you have to be so nasty, are your lives really that bad that you get off putting others down.
Mercedes is here for her sister and has put her life and her young family’s life on hold to help her sister. This is something not many people would do and I admire for that. She is a strong women who does not deserve the S@#t you goes dish out to her.
I will also add that I know many people who beleive that schapelle may be innocent. (that is indonesian people who know how our legal system work)
Ps- Eddie you are not funny at all.

Everyone is so quick to judge. All we know is what we read in gossip mags and see on tv. I have photos of my brother with 2 meter high marijuana plants…if one of these mags published them would that make me a drug dealer?
