Look like a local: White gear in Seminyak Bali

Anyone who lives in Bali will have seen the popularity of wafer thin, white shirts and pants. These are on sale all over the place, and this afternoon I went to Yani Shop on Jl. Legian in Legian, to check some out.

The staff told me the cotton and hemp clothing, which came in short & long sleeves, as well as collarless and collared, were all 60,000rp. Pants were 65,000rp. After trying on an XL shirt, that the staff had a ahrd job finding (maybe they should make more XL stuff ,then they’d sell more), she told me if I wanted ‘business price‘ it was 40,000rp.

If you want to sip arak madu’s at the beach with your new Balinese girlfriend and pretend you live here, one of these shirts might provide the finishing touch. You might also try giving these instead of Bintang t-shirts for gifts.
