La Monde: Pizza Restaurant, Seafood & Grill in Legian Bali

la mondeLa Monde is a streetside place on Jl. Padma, that tries hard to please the tastes of the mixed bag of tourists, that Bali gets. Today I stepped in to sample their food. Lunch for me was a Beef ala Szechuan (stir fried tenderloin, in a szechuan spice sauce, with red peppers and steamed rice) for 29,000rp. It was good and I enjoyed the red chili pepper that came with it, Really put me where I wanted to be! La Monde isn’t a fancy place, more like a warung. There is an upstairs section at the back and while I was there, a couple of Aussie families dined downstairs. La Monde is open for breakfast, luck and dinner, with the following menu.

Breakfasts - including American Breakfast (fresh fruit juice, fruit platter, 2 eggs, bacon or ham, fried potato, tomato, tea or coffee) for 27,500rp

Seafood - including the Giant Seafood Platter, which is enough for 2 people, (selection of grilled King prawns, clams, squid, snapper, served with mixed salad, French fries or steamed rice and a selection of sauces. Plus 2 small Bintangs or Bali Hai, and a mixed fruit platter) for 335,000rp

Cold Appetizer - including Caeser Salad for 17,000rp

Hot Appetizer - including Cheese & Bean Nachos for 16,500rp

Vegetarian - including Fresh Vegetable Stir Fry for 16,500rp

Zuppa (Soup) - including Minestrone Soup for 16,000rp

When the cow gets a tumor or some horrible disease, do you think they discard the meat? (In Indonesia, that is). Not very bloody likely.

Course veggies can get cancer as well I guess.

(I\’m hungry after reading the article.)
