Before I had a kid, I had little interest in having one. I liked kids, but really didn’t feel the attraction of looking after one 24/7. Seems to me this might be the case with many guys. Having a kid at age 42 was perfect timing for me, no sooner of later, if I had the choice again. Listening to Toby, when he was here in Bali, his life is totally oriented around his daughter Maya. For me I have made adjustments and the great part about that, is it forced me to look at places with new interest. Kid friendly restaurants, beaches, hotels are now in my conciousness and checking out some of those places, can actually be fun.
With a kid, you will notice stages in their development, where they notice more, act and react with more certainty. Jevon loves water and fills up a bucket in the bathtub so he can play with it. This morning he was trying to climb up on ‘daddy’s motor’, I’ll have to remember to hide the keys.
Ika still breast feeds and will start moving him to bottled milk. Milk is his favourite, and since he went to Java, now has a taste for rice. My advice for new parents; don’t stress, its all good. Don’t blame a kid for exploring and enjoy the fact they are healthy enough to be active.

Tracey,
Seems so long ago I was at your wedding, though the wedding itself is very clear in my mind.
Jevon is a bit bigger and does have light hair, I think that’s why he stands out with the locals.
Any ideas what baby #3 will be called?
I’ll introduce Pedro to Komang, plus others if he’s up for it.
I have tried to post a few times here today…
Nick Jevon looks so tall now & his hair is so light, Indah & Maddy have very dark hair.
We will see you late August/Sept, have to wait for #3 baby to be born to be able to book!!!!
Pedro is heading over to see you in march, as he is hoping to be introduced to Komang!!!!
