January weather in Bali
So far wet season 2007 has been a delight. The occassional short shower, keeping us cool, plenty of scorching sunshine and none of the week-long grey skies that the wet season usually entails. This morning after returing from a cafe, I had to stop and admire the scene outside my house. Its a virtual explosion of flora, with the doorway in danger of dissapearing totally. The sky above was a deep blue (okay I’, looking at it through polarizing sunglasses, but still), there’s nowhere I’d rather be right now.
Looking at our 10 day weather forecast, things are looking good, with daily ‘highs’ of 87f, (31C) and no threat of major storms. Hobbling around today, after busting my toe yesterday, while riding my bike, I managed to make it to the gym. Blue Ocean beach will be busy this weekend, and first-time visitors in the Kuta area should check out the restaurants there (Blue Ocean, Lanai, Zanzinar and others) for good food with a great view.

While the weather is perfect in Bali, the moonsoon has started in Darwin late this afternoon after quite a few very hot and humid days. I guess we have the overcast skies for a while now!
