This has been a challenging day to get online in Seminyak Bali. My home connection hasn’t worked all day, the local cafes have a super slow connection. The current one I’m at has some kind of software issue, but anyway, that Indonesia, take it or leave it.
Latest happenings for my family is that little Jevon found out what ‘hot’ means. He already knew, but that was re-enforced last night at Blue Ocean restaurant in Legian. Ika and I were enjoying some excellent food, her the chicken kung pao, myself the mahi mahi, when Jevon leaned over and placed his forefinger on the metal bull (hotplate) that Ika’s food was served on. Little bugger howled for an hour, during which time an older foreign women let Ika know that she was a bad mother, as Jevon’s crying was play acting.
Big news in my neighboorhood is a good chunk of Jl. Seminyak has been resurfaced including the alley next to Bintang supermarket. Amazing how fast the roads deteriorate in Bali and how bad they get. Our drive up to Batukaru the other day would amaze any first time Bali visitor, the pots holes getting larger until finally all the surface was stripped off of the road! The methods used ot make roads out here has a lot to do with the speed at which they deteriorate.
Today I watched a bunch of men shoveling gravel from a moving pick-up truck, to be spread out. A man walking swinging a tar bucket with about 10 holes in, followed. Its not high tech but if its all you’ve got go for it.
Finally found an internet cafe with a good connection. The staff in place don’t know their ass from their elbow, but the speed is good. Its called Internet Extension (Jl. Dhyana Pura). 15,000rp per hour.

Hope you told that nosy slag to go get f***ed.
When anyone gets burned find some aloe jelly promto; it truly does the trick. Knew someone who burned his arm with hot oil third degree and before they could get him to the hospital the staff immersed his arm in a two inch surface of aloe jelly then wrapped the burned arm and submerged the arm in a bucket of ice. The tissues continue to feel on fire for a number of hours after the initial accident occurrs. Get some aloe jelly for any immergencies. It is a life saver. Also amazing when it comes to cuts to prevent bacteria growth.
Obviously the women was ignorant when it comes to burns. Wish I had been there to give her a verbal onslaught regarding burns. Negativity of the mind plus ignorance creates a panacea of delusion for billions of people on this planet—-justifing there so called reality as FACT. WHEN INDEED THEIR REALITY IS TRULY DELUSIONAL.
Nick, do you believe the speed of computers in bali at ones home could handle currency trading. and could you address my question??? I want to come home to Bali, live in Campuhan, however I\’m concerned about my internet connection regarding currency trading??????

Is there only a small amount of households in Bali with internet connections? Do most locals resort to internet cafes?
What did you to the woman who disrespected your wife? I would have punched her, then paid off the cops.
