Indonesian prisoners use chili to escape

Resourceful Indonesian convicts used chili’s to aid their escape from jail. I’ve heard of a rope made of bed sheets, and a gun hidden inside a bible, but never a bag of jalapeno’s.

According to the BBC, 18 Indonesian prisoners at Pematang Sinatar jail in Sumatra, used hot chili’s to make a super spicy liquid. After charging the guards, they squirted the fiery potion into their eyes.

Most of the prisoners were recaptured, I guess no one thought of arranging a dokar or a bemo.

Years ago, a certain Eddie Tansil sauntered out of Cipanang jail in Jakarta, hailed a passing taksi and was unheard of again. Any relation to Eddie Tansil that appears on BaliBlog once in a while?
