Ika’s condition in Seminyak Bali

Ika’s condition seems to be improving, although I want to see how she is in a few days, due to the cyclical nature of typhoid (fever, chills, headaches). Her sister Ningrum came over today. She is also sick and looks pale. For some reason she thinks she has typhus. Ningrum said she thought that was the Indonesian name for typhoid.

Ningrum went to a local clinic and got 5 kind of drugs. She and Ika think its a big joke, sick one minute, healthy the next. I told them not to share food, wash their hands after everything and to use a different towel. I also learned that Jevon was drinking from a coconut with them both 4 days ago. If he’s not sick already, that could be a good sign.

My main concern was the overheating, which can cause problems in brain function. Now that’s over, its just a matter of getting healthy and not infecting me. Mr. Wiggly is living on bread and water.
