House for sale in Tampaksiring Bali

Sunday afternoon Ika, Jevon and I are heading up to Tampaksiring, close to Ubud to help a friend sell his house. Mike Hillis from California owns a 2-storey place in Tampaksiring (a furniture and wood carving center) and needs someone to show a potential buyer around.

We like to take a ride on Sundays, when we’re in the mood, and the Ubud area is a great place to cruise, lovely scenery, cool little lanes to check out and plenty of good food downtown. Tampaksiring is 10km to the NE.

Since Mike is in California, we are riding to Sanur and catching a ride to Ubud with Mike’s brother-in-law Agus. I’m in charge of communicating with the potential buyer who is staying Ubud. The house is large, has a nice garden with outside bale and some land. Anyone who is interested I can forward you Mike’s email address. Will be nice to stop off at Naughty Nuri’s for one of the famously lethal martini’s, seeing as I’m not driving.

Nick-Could you please take some photos. I was interested in looking at it ever since you wrote about it a couple of years ago. Nobody that we asked in Tampaksiring knew Mike Hillis from California & if they did they weren’t talking. I was just curious what it looked like. Are Priska and the kids in Sanur? You haven’t said much about them for a long time. I really miss his shop in Grass Valley, California. I was having lunch at Posh Nosh a couple of weeks ago and was telling my friend about the Bali Sierra shop. In fact do they have a web site e-mail address, maybe I could order some stuff from them in Sanur? I think that is where you said that they have their shop set-up now. Thanks
