Tomorrow morning I’ll be out of the house before first light and off to the airport for a visa run to Singapore. This trip will be via Batam, so will be a bit longer and I hope to document the process.
My flights are Denpasar-Surabaya-Jakarta-Batam followed by a ferry to Singapore. Basically I leave from the domestic terminal in Bali, paying only 20,000rp departure tax, instead of 100,000rp. Then I’ll change planes in Surabaya and stay on the same one to Batam. Batam island is close to Singapore so the ferry is fast and cheap. Getting downtown should not be a problem once I arrive.
My Alpha Smart keyboard is coming with me, so text should be flying off of it like satay of a grill.

hai nick. great to hear that u r coming to spore. hope u wl write about batam. its very near spore but ive not been there. hear the spa there is good.
