Exporting furniture from Bali: A success story

How many wanderers have arrived in Bali, and ended up shipping home furniture in the hope of making a business for themselves? Its not all sunshine and light and assuming you get hold of decent goods for an okay price, you still have to get them home without damage, and sell them. Lately it seems I’ve been hearing people say, ‘I’m glad he/she is doing well, he/she struggled for SO long.’

If you are somewhat business savvy, that helps a lot. Bali seems to attract ‘artsy’ people, rather than business genuises. My brother sent me an article in The Times, about a chirpy chappy from England, who made a packet flogging Indonesian furniture to yuppies in London. Good on him!
