Dry Season in Bali: Cooler weather brings chills

Dry season in Bali is a lovely time to be here. Warm sunny days with cool mornings and cool evenings. It is distinctly different from the humid wet season, where even at 10pm, you will be sweating. Right now I need another t-shirt of light sweater at 10pm, especially if I’m riding my motorbike.

The cooler weather brings the sniffles. Ika and I have a slight cold and any people around do to. People say that riding a motorbike and getting chilled is a sure way to get sick. I’m not arguing and will load on on vitamin C as well.

Westerners who like to lounge in the evenings and enjoy a glass of wine will love the dry season climate, you don’t need ice cubes in your drink at this time of the year. Dry season usually ends in October, but this year might be a shorter dry season than normal.

If you are comnig to Bali in the near future, I recommend a long sleeve t-shirt / light sweater, especially if you plan on going inland.
