This morning I met some more cool people in Bali. A month ago, a lady had emailed me asking that my house be used as a forwarding address, for her family’s air tickets out of Bali. Tamara and her family were spending a couple of weeks in Bali before flying out. I was happy to oblige, but she has been hard to track down.
Along with her husband and 2 young kids, Tamara has hiked Gunung Batur, her husband has hiked Gunung Agung and as well as a few days in Ubud, they circled around the NE coast. This morning I managed to catch them at their hotel, the Sarinande in Seminyak. Their room is 300,000rp and breakfast is included. The hotel has a nice pool too. Chatting with Tamara, the food in Ubud came in for praise as did the Balinese people for being friendly. They asked for my recommendations for food options along Jl. Dhyana Pura. I suggested Lucky Day and Sin City, 2 places that always put out good food.
Ika, Jevon and I will go to a local warung with them tomorrow for lunch.
