Hear ye, hear ye, all Baliblog readers. There is a BBQ at my house in Seminyak, on Sunday December 24th 2006. All welcome.
The BBQ is in honor of my friend Toby, and if you are in Bali, we’d love to see you. You’ll meet Toby, Maya, Ollie and Asia, all from Oregon, plus Ika, Jevon, and a host of other misfits. Toby brought me packets of Belizean spices, which we’ll pastwe all over meats and fish. Should be a good time and I hope, between the wife, kids and friends, I get a chance to sit down for 5 minutes and eat some food.
I live close to Jl. Dhyana Pura in Seminyak. If you need directions give me a call 0817362830
Kick off 5pm

Hai Nick,
I am now in Melbourne and looks like going to be a cold xmas day but at least the bush fires are a little slowed down. I do hope you have a great BBQ with ur friends and family.
Luv Baliblog and read it each day, you a great job many thanks. Met hari natal & Met tahun baru.
Hi Nick,
for as long I can remeber I read your blog first thing in the morning when I\’m at work.
Wanted to visit you last summer. Even was in Seminyak for a while. Went back to Holland the day you came back.
Maybe next time. I\’m married with a Balinese woman, we have 3 kids and once a year we are in Bali (Penyabangan, near Payangan, where I met her).
Thank you for all your writings. It makes me feel I\’m in Bali again.
Merry Christmas for you and your family,
Ciao,
Mauk
Hello Nick
My family and I (husband and four year old)were in Bali for Christmas and New Year this year after a great experience at the same time the year before.
We were having coffee and something to eat at Cafe Seminyak trying to see if we could spot you to say hello.
My husband reads this blog almost daily and we took some hints and suggestions off it prior to the trip.
This trip was our fourth visist and it gets better each time - we love Bali, the people, the culture, the food - quite simply everything.
I have just gone on your site myself as my husband has put this as a favourite on my laptop and I have spent a couple of hours reading and enjoying the advice, stories and comments. I now plan to read this site each day to keep in touch with what is happening and be a regular contributor, so apologies in advance for bombarding you with comments.
I am disappointed that we had not logged on whilst we were away, as I know my husband and I would have taken the opportunity to meet you at the BBQ. If okay with you, we will keep your number for the next time we visit, which hopefully will be in September this year, whereby we would be delighted to take you and your family out for a coffee/ drink/ meal.
Thank you for your insights into the Bali you experience, I really enjoy reading about it.
Hi Nick,
Emiko and I are home in Western Australia this Christmas. The weather is sunny and warm to hot, as is usual for us this time of the year, so we really don’t have anything to complain about. But I’m just wishing that we had a magic carpet and could be with you and your family and friends this evening.
The barbecue at your place which we were fortunate to be invited to on our last visit was one of the highlights of our holiday and I would say to anyone who has the chance, “Just be there!” Nick is the perfect host!
I only post occasionally, but I read BaliBlog every day, get a lot from it and recommend it as a great source of information. Thanks for the good work and best wishes for a great Christmas and New Year to you and your family.
Rex and Emiko
