Type ‘Bali’ into Google, and you get an avalanche of monkeys, all trying to flog villas. Who comes up #1? I don’t know and don’t really care, but there are many sites on the web, that carry good info about Bali.
One of my guide books, ‘The Natural Guide‘ has an extensive list of Bali web sites that you may find useful.
Here’s the list:
•General sites, Portals and Accommodation
Baliblog
(look no further!)
•Alternative Travel & Sustainable Tourism
•Nature & Ecology
•Art, Culture, Reading, News
•Food & Entertainment
•Language
•Surfing
•Non-Profit & Charities

Great list - thanks for that. I would add to it the Bali Travel Portal site. They create original content (unlike a lot of the sites which seem to all use the same stuff!!) and they also have quite a bit of content on ecotourism. It’s a good one. http://www.BaliTravelPortal.com
Also for charities, would suggest you add Linda Garland’s Bamboo Foundation (sorry, don’t know the URL).
