Bali weather forecast: July 17th 2007

Dry season in Bali means clear skies and sunny days. Let’s take a look at our 10 day weather forecast and see how it stands up.

Today we had a hot one, or maybe it was just me who was hot. Whatever this dry season is a bit different from usual, in that we’ve had showers recently. It strikes me that Indonesians take temperature fluctuations differently than the rest of us. Last night I was sitting in Warung Murah on Jl. Double Six. They have meter-wide fans and I felt like I was eating my dinner on a park bench in England. Today on Jl. Dhyana Pura one internet refused to turn the AC on, “my boss angry,” said the staff. “You’ve got to be kidding me,” I said, “it’s about 300 degrees in here.”

Generally though with a bit of common sense and some air flow temperatures are most pleasant. I haven’t used the AC in my house for monthes. Here is the 10 day weather forecast for Bali.

Gili Trawangan just got closer aboard the ‘Mahi Mahi’,

the largest most comfortable fast boat operating between Bali and the Gili Islands.
This purpose built 12m aluminum motor yacht has twin 4 stroke Suzuki V6,

250hp engines, and with a cruising speed of 32 knots they can take you in 2 1/2 hours from
the harbour at Serangan Benoa, (20 mins from Kuta ) direct to the beach on Gili Trawangan.

Totally western operated she comprises full international safety equipment,
comfortable seating for 24 passengers, a galley service and toilet / shower facilities.
With an advanced tunnel hull design, they can ensure a dry and comfortable crossing
and is therefore perfectly suited to handle the conditions around Bali and Lombok with speed and safety.

The boat leaves from Serangan Harbour at 07.30am (15 mins from Kuta, 1 km north of Benoa)

Boarding time is 30mins before at 07.00am in front of the Royal Bali Yacht Club and takes around 2 ½ hours to Trawangan.

Return time from Trawangan is boarding at 10.30am and departure at 11.00am from the harbour.

Cost is 550,000 pp O/W.

(1/2 price for children under 12 yrs) 10% discount for Kitas holders and local Indonesians.

Pls note; the price does not include pick up, they can arrange transfers at an additional cost however it is cheaper to get a metered taxi and

They have taxis waiting in Serangan for the return journey. Mini busses are available on request for group bookings.

I hope that with everyone’s support this will become a very successful and regular daily service.
