Where is the best pizza in Bali?

Who likes pizza? I am sure most people have their hands raised. Pizza or Zaa as it is called in the Windy City, can be found at many restaurants all over Bali. Virtually every family hotel / resort has a poolside pizza bar and it’s a sure fire winner with the tourists.

In my experience the pizza served over here is not going to win any prizes in America. Having said that I do not blame them as the people making it were not brought up eating pizza, it’s a foreign food to them.

If you want the best pizza in the Kuta area go to Papas on the top end of Jl. Pantai Kuta. The head chef told me other head chefs go to Papas just for the pizza. I have had it. Its good.

For me the next one in line is Good Luck on Jl. Benesari. They have one of those rock domes cranking out about 5,000 degrees of heat. They knock out a very nice Greek feta pizza and another one called a Santa Fe with jalapenos and beans. Down the street in the Warung 96 area you will find a hot spot of pizza making places but most are the thin crust, tomato paste and cheese deal. Nothing to write home about.

I am sure the Ritz Carlton can do you a very nice pizza too but most of us are not in Jimbaran or rich.

G’Day Nick,

Agreed as far as Good Luck - superb pizzas. Also, Fat Yogi’s is yummy and I like the thin crust.
