Wedding in Bali

Bali is a place that makes memories. Having your wedding in Bali is something to consider, especially if you want to keep those pesky relatives away. What are the advantages of having a wedding in Bali?

Well first off you are in a new environment, a different culture and that makes the whole process seem like you’ve stepped into a special event. Second there is the cost, which can be a lot cheaper than in a western country. You have a wonderful selection of places to stay, hold the wedding and dine, ranging from the Four Seasons Sayan, to a small boutique hotel in East Bali. The color and culture give a wedding in Bali that extra something.

Planning a wedding in Bali and dealing with local conditions might seem off putting. Not to worry, there are companies that will take care of things for you. Two of these are Bali Paradise Weddings and Bali Weddings International.

As soon as the wedding is over, you are straight into the honeymoon mode. The cool aspect about a wedding in Bali is you can give your wedding party a chance to experience some new things. Little Tommy can try surfing, auntie Flo can try Balinese cooking, uncle Sid can get a massage, dad can drink half a gallon of tuak and get away with spending under $2. The list is endless.

Yes, you are right. Legally married in Bali is easy, by leaving all the wedding necessaries on some professional hands of Bali’s wedding planners. Bali has become the wedding destination lately.

I was Married in Bali Last April, My Now husband and i thought it a great opportunity to get away with a small group of relatives and friends for a romantic Wedding. NOT !!!!
The Wedding was perfect thankfully all arranged by Rebecca at Bali Weddings International, But the getting away part didnt work . Everyone followed we ended up with 68 people from aussie and another 10 indonesian friends. So it ended up being huge. We met a friend of a friend whom was in bali at the same time and said that our wedding was the talk of KUTA that week.
I truly recommend it to any other couple it was amazing. We are heading back for 3 weeks in April for our anniversary. Yipee

Wedding in Bali

Today I went to part of a wedding ceremony in a village 90 minutes drive from Kuta past Kintimani. I was the guest of Armadi from Captain Haddocks restaurant and we were joined by a friend of hers plus Roman from Paris and Lia from the restaurant.

I took a bunch of photos and will get them all up for you to see tomorrow. Man, it was hot today!

I’m just catching up with e-mail right now in Kuta and wondering what I’m going to do later (it’s Friday night) . Having a motorcycle is cool but it means I can’t drink, so melon juice will have to do until I get up to Seminyak.
