Tracking friends from my bedroom in Seminyak Bali

Technology is amazing and we sometimes get a demonstration of how powerful it can be. Yesterday Sean flew out to Hong Kong on Cathay Pacific. He was meet his dad Dave, who was en-route from the US and then fly to Delhi with him.

Hong Kong airport has a real-time flight-checker for Arrivals and Departures. This means I can get the same info on my computer that someone looking at a monitor in Hong Kong airport can. I told Sean before he left that his flight was on time and Daves flight was slightly late.

Later in the evening I checked their outgoing and was able to sms Sean to tell him his flight was boarding soon at Gate 49 in Hong Kong. I wish more airports had this facility and I tip my hat to Hong Kong airport which has had this for a few years already.

Sean is on a multi-stop RTW ticket that has taken him from Portland-Hong Kong-Bali-Kong Hong-Delhi. He will go to Warsaw-Bucharest before flying back to the US.

Sean and Dave got to Delhi. Guys I cannot tell you the rickshaw schedule, technology has not covered that yet.
