Rules changes for Business Visa in Indonesia

Rules concerning Business visa in Indonesia are changing. The current situation is you can get a Single or Multiple entry Business visa quite easy. With a multiple entry you can leave and re-enter the country.

The Business visa gives you 60 days, and the option to extend for up to 4 times, for a fee of 500,000rp for the first 2 times and 600,000rp for the last 2 times. If you leave the country and return before the last extension has expired, you can start the process over, instead of filing the 2m rp paperwork, that is needed to first apply. The same initial paperwork can be stretched to 18 months, if you do this twice.

Arjuna immigration consultants in Kerobokan (who recently changed their website address) told me that Indonesia will not issue multiple entry Business visas anymore, unless you can prove you had one before. If you have one in an old passport, you will need to bring that when applying.

If you are planning on getting a Business visa and want to know the exact regulations, contact Kantor Kita, or Arjuna, they know the details.
