Indonesia is a mixed bag regarding religions and festivals. What is celebrated in Bali may not be in Lombok and vice versa. Adding an extra element of confusion to this is the fact that different religions observe different calendars, so the dates for festivals are always changing. There are public holidays where banks and public offices are closed all over the country, regardless if the local population observe the occasion.
Here is a list of public holidays in Indonesia.
Tahun Baru Mesehi (New Years Day) Jan 1st.
Idul Adha (Muslim festival of sacrifice), Feb).
Muharran (Muslim New Year) Feb / Mar
Nyepi (Hindu day of silence) Mar / Apr
Hari Paskah (Good Friday) Apr
Ascension of Christ Apr / May
Hari Waisek (Buddha's birth, enlightenment, death) Apr / May
Maulud Nabi Mohammed (Hari Natal) (Prophet Mohhamed's birthday) May
Hari Proklamasi Kemerdekaan (Indonesian Independence) Aug 17th
Isra Miraj Nabi Mohammed (ascension day of Prophet Mohammed ) Sept
Idul Fitri (end of month of Ramadan) Nov / Dec
Hari Natal (Christmas) Dec 25th.
Many of these events can occur in any month, but with the rotation of years the dates change slowly, as for example the Muslim calendar has 11 monthes of 30 days each.

nick, paskah is not good friday!
paskah is easter
good friday is jumat agung
and for jan, indonesia have a mother’s day in indonesia (or bali) but it’s not a holiday, so everybody do their daily activity, and i forgot when is it. coz it’s not a big event here.
and some of the westernized people here in indonesia celebrate mother’s day as USA.
Indo mother’s day is on Dec 22nd.
As I know, mother’s day is not a holiday either in US. It’s just happened to be happened on 2nd sunday of may (my son was born a day before, a good reminder).
I celebrate mother’s day when I was still home with my parents, live in an apartment in Jakarta, and now in US. I always call her at least and let her know how lucky and thankful I am having her as my mom. I adore her.
And there is a huge confusion in your list. I think you’d better make a correction a.s.a.p since religion is a very sensitive matter in Indo.
Please look at the month of may where you have Maulud Nabi Muhammad. You put (Hari Natal).. that’s a mistake. Hari Natal is Christmas. And believe me you don’t want to have a translation of Maulud Nabi Muhammad as hari Natal (note: A christian celebration) if you still want to live in Indo. It is not a personal for me (I’m non muslim and it don’t bother me). I’m not exagerating. It’s just what it is.
Please do so.. for good purpose.
thanks
Dear Nick.. i’ve read ur post, and all comments regarding ur post.. it is true u have done 1 single mistake. Same as Indo Gal said.. Hari Maulidul Rasul is not Hari Natal. maybe u’ve got confused or get wrong information, but believe me… u don’t want it become more serious rite.. please change.. our Maulidul Rasul will come next Tuesday (in Malaysia)
