Practicalities of bringing young children to Bali-part III

Car rental companies never provide a baby seat and motor vehicle safety in Bali is not a high priority. Most likely when you rent a car it has been borrowed from someones relative .

Buying a mosquito net for your child is a good idea and you can pick up double of single one fairly cheaply here. Try Matahari Department store in Kuta. There are baby beds on the market that come with mosquito net attached, for every young kids.

The precedence of western food in Bali means you will not have a problem. It is true many arrivals get Bali Belly but I have lived here for over 2 years and was only sick when I first arrived. People have said in the past that salads are to be avoided, but many of the modern restaurants serve great salads and have learned by now its no a good idea to poison the guests. The same goes for ice in drinks. Years ago it was a no no, but now the better places use filtered water to make the ice.

Apparently there are avery few Drivers that have cars with Western Car seats, for safety. I have read about t on Bali Travel Forum.

I won’t bother bringing one over with us in Nov, but maybe once we are finished with ours in OZ, I will bring it with us & give it to someone to use & hopefully they will attract more customers by offering it!?

Not long now hey!!!!

Here I found this & it may help with those looking for babyseats in cars in Bali….

Quoted from BTF, by Cracker: We use Wayan Ruda as our driver. Wayan has a baby seat that will suit up to about a 3 yr old. You can contact him when you are in Bali on 081 2365 3447.
