Ladies preparing for the odalan in Seminyak Bali
Sitting either side of the entrance on raised steps were offerings to the Gods, consisting of canang, bananas and other items of traditional Balinese offering. Peeking through the gate I saw the temple was being prepared for the festivities which will go on around sunset. All the shrines were decorated and Balinese umbrellas were present. Back at my house there was a pickup truck parked outside my house. Balinese ladies were busy sorting out offerings to take to the temple.
I stopped and said hi, and saw their offerings included the flowery canang, coconuts and even food. Tonight I may stop by an see if I can take some unobtrusive photos.
