Checking out Bingin Beach Bali

Today was a great day to be in Bali if you love the beach, not necessarily if you are doing beach reviews, but for the folks on holiday it was great.

Bingin was my destination today to gather information to hopefully help others enjoy what it has to offer.

I talked to people. took notes as well as photos and you will read my report very soon. Getting back around 8pm I was totally shagged and wanted to give my photo editing a chance to be descent.

Bingin as many will already know, is located on the western side of the Bukit peninsula and is a hot spot for surfing. A sandy beady at mid-high tide is great for the non-surfers and the view from the cliffs are lovely.

Surfers flock to Bingin because of the wonderful way the waves wrap around the edge of the reef forming a perfect wave. Today there was swell, maybe about 5ft and around a dozen locals seemed to be enjoying it. Winds today were onshore, meaning blowing from the ocean to the shore. Ideal conditions are offshore winds which keep the face of the wave open longer. Bali gets good offshore winds around July as so that is when Bingin and the other Bukit beaches will see a lot of business. Still, if you are okay with a less crowded wave and some onshore slop no worries, come out in March.

During my adventures today I got close to the locals and their animals, brings thoughts of how Bali must of been before the mass tourism hit, crossing someones field to get to the beach.

Here is a test I did on Ika to see if she is professional material.

………………………………………………………….

The following short quiz consists of 4 questions and tells whether you are qualified to be a professional. Scroll down for each answer. (The questions are not that difficult.)

1. How do you put a giraffe into a refrigerator?

Correct answer: Open the refrigerator, put in the giraffe and close the door.

This question tests whether you tend to do simple things in an overly complicated way.

2. How do you put an elephant into a refrigerator?

Wrong Answer: Open the refrigerator, put in the elephant and close the refrigerator.

Correct Answer: Open the refrigerator, take out the giraffe, put in the elephant and close the door.

This tests your ability to think through the repercussions of your actions.

3.The Lion King is hosting an animal conference. All the animals attend except one. Which animal does not attend?

Correct Answer: The Elephant. The Elephant is in the refrigerator.

This tests your memory.

OK, even if you did not answer the first three questions correctly, you still have one more chance to show your abilities.

4. There is a river you must cross, but it is inhabited by crocodiles. How do you manage it?

Correct Answer: You swim across. All the crocodiles are attending the Animal Meeting.

This tests whether you learn quickly from your mistakes.

Ika actually got 2 right, which is 2 more than I got.

In Singapore we do have the same set of jokes too but the questions 1 and 2 are a bit different.

Here goes:
1. How do you put a giraffe into a refrigerator in 3 steps?

As for question 2:
How do you put an elephant into a refrigerator in 4 steps?

The answers are the same.

hehe
