Bread Station: Fresh bread in Seminyak Bali
Sometimes its the simplest things we miss from home. Visitors to Bali can get a range of food that rivals many big cities in the world, but sometimes something as simple as bread might be missing. A handy place I frequent is Bread Station, one of the small shops next to Bintang supermarket in Seminyak. Bread Station opens around 9am and stocks a selection of freshly made baguettes, whole grain loaves and donuts.
This morning I picked up a chunky apple pie for myself, a chocolate donut for Ika and a cinnamon roll for my cleaner Wayan. The cost was 22,000rp.
Many times I will be working in my room and do not want to spoil my rhythm by going out, so I will make a sandwich with some sharp tasting cheese from Bintang, a large baguette and a healthy dose of the brown nectar (Vegemite).
Bread Station does not use preservatives and in this extremely humid climate the bread goes off quite fast, but I like the freshness and for me Bread Station is a 2 minute bike ride. Parking is free and I just pull up, get what I want and zoom off. Bread Station also sells small selection of tahini sauce, chutney etc.
The small amount of product they keep on hand alows them to cut their costs and also means if you an the chocolate donuts come before noon.

jl.patimura no.9., between jl.legian and jl.majapahit.warung malang, #9 . whole snapper done chinese style in a fantastic chile sauce.all sizes, about 700-800gms. prices, between Rp12,000 and Rp18,000-20,000. around the best i have had anywhere in the world!!!
