Balinese Temple Ceremonies in 2005

Bali has reputedly 20,000 temples and visiting one or 2 is always a part of a trip to the island.

Visiting a temple, or pura, when it is empty is rather like a trip to a museum, its dead and lifeless. An exhibit.

The time to visit a temple is during a temple festival and all temples have an odalan or birthday.

Here is a schedule of the temple festivals in Bali for you to plan your trip around.

DDLEGS,

You cannot get an extension here in Bali…legally. However you might be able to talk to an immigration officer once here. I will discuss this with you when you get here in Kuta.
