A Gay old time in Seminyak Bali
Since the early 1900’s Bali has been a place favoured by members of the Gay community. The relaxed attitude of the Balinese which comes from a village culture and Hinduism, is condusive to relaxation. Seminyak is probably the center of the Gay scene in Bali, with its plentiful spas, hotels, restaurants and nightlife. Easy hook-ups with locals are the go, and I spot older gay men out with their new friend on a daily basis. No worries, whatever gets you through the night I reckon. Live and let live.
Not being educated as to the particulars of the Gay community, but realizing it represents a significant part of the Bali market, I checked out a site that is designed specifically to serve their needs. BaliRainbows.com offers a selection of Bali packages and spa activities. There are also travel tips and packages to other places in Indonesia.

joe, do you have problems with gays?
It might be of interest to note that a significant slice of the gay trade in Kuta/Seminyak is peopled by javanese men, nominal muslims, married with families in java, who are in bali for economic opportunities offered by the gay tourist market - sex services niche.
